Reaching the unemployed and homeless communities of Pinetown and surrounding areas
Out of Covid 19 lockdowns in 2020, we saw the plight of the Pinetown homeless and purposed to do something about it in a structured way. We formed Pinetown Development Hub Non-profit Company in 2021 and registered it with the Department of Social Development in South Africa.
Our vision is to create opportunities for learning, growth and an escape from poverty for the indigent and homeless communities of Pinetown and surrounding areas, by setting up and running, in partnership with community and other non-profit centres and projects.
Business Centre
Start-up businesses are given facilities, support and services which boost their chances of success
Entrepreneurial Centre
Young people are trained in skills and given practical experience which makes them employable or enables them to run their own businesses
Skills Development
Young people who show initiative or have a good educational foundation but lack marketable skills, are trained in 4th Industrial revolution skills and assisted in finding employment
Community Outreach
The homeless cared for and given shelter and enrolled in vocational training which will give them the ability to build new lives.
